Paraguacarus santiagoensis Goff and Webb, 1989

Paraguacarus santiagoensis Goff and Webb, 1989 b: 93 , fig. 1 (holotype in USNM).

Diagnosis. SIF = 4 B-B- 3 -1111.0000; fPp = B/B/BBB; fsp = 6.6.6; fCx = 2.1.1; fSt = 0.2; fSc: PL> AM> AL; Ip = 692; fD = 2 H- 10 - 8 - 8 - 8 - 6 - 4; DS = 46; VS = 24; NDV = 70. Cheliceral blade with 1 ventral and 5 dorsal teeth; scutum nearly trapezoidal, with nasus and slightly angulate posterior margin, with 2 AM, 2 AL, and 2 PL setae; SB situated slightly anterior to PLs; AM setae each with a long basal branch; onychotriches and tracheae absent.

Host. Octodon degus (Molina) .

Distribution. Chile, Metropolitan Region, Santiago Province.

Remarks. Described by a single specimen with sensilla lost.
