So far, this species is recorded only from the northern provinces. It was described by Heimer (1984) from Vietnam and later recorded from China ( Zhu et al. 2003 and references herein). Heimer (1984: fig. 4) shows a “flat hook” at the median plate of the epigynum. This is absent in Lao specimens. The posterior margin of this median plate can be rather semi-circled.
