Adults ( Fig. 115 View FIGURE 115 ) perch in shaded forest for the most part but can be found also in partly shaded spots near the forest edge. Females oviposit in damp mud in forested swales that will flood and hold water for a short period of time. No nymphs have been described. Five species of Uracis occur in Ecuador.
