Material examined. 1 Ƥ from moss on stone, 40°17'81'' N, 37°44'71'' E, 644 m, Koyulhisar, 17 V 2009; ZMAU.
Distribution. Crimea and Turkey (Kuznetsov 1978; Koç & Ayyıldız 1997; Doġan 2007; Erman et al. 2007).
Remarks. This species is characterized by having the suranal shield divided, auxiliary and lateral zonal shields absent, h 3 present, and the ventral opisthosomal area with two pairs of genital and four pairs of aggenital setae. In the Turkish specimens the setal formulas of genua and femora are 6(κ)–3–0–2, 4–4–3–2 respectively. The Turkish specimens exhibit most characters of S. planus except by having two setae on genu IV.
