Bomolochus soleae Claus, 1864

Bomolochus soleae is parasitic on the gills of Solea solea .

This species was collected from S. solea in a number of Mediterranean localities ( Delamare-Deboutteville & Nunes-Ruivo 1958; Raibaut et al. 1998), in particular in Italy ( Richiardi 1880; Brian 1906), North Africa ( Rose & Vaissière, 1952) and Tunisia ( Benmansour & Ben Hassine 1997). In the Adriatic, Radujkovic and Raibaut (1989) reported this species infecting Buglossidium luteum .
