149. Formica egregia LSID .
Worker. Length 6 1/4 linea.-Opake-black. Head widest in front, narrowed to the eyes, from which it is narrowed again abruptly backwards; antennae elongate, nearly as long as the insect. Thorax elongate, narrow; legs elongate. Abdomen subovate, acuminate at the apex, thinly sprinkled with erect black hairs; node of the peduncle incrassate, narrow, its margin rounded above.
