Current status. Andrena (Melandrena) assimilis Radoszkowski, 1876 .
Remark. According to Warncke (1967: 275) the name Andrena gravida Eversmann, 1852 (nec A. gravida Imhoff, 1832 ) is a synonym of A. (Charitandrena) hattorfiana Fabricius, 1775 . Following him, Gusenleitner & Schwarz (2002: 334) also considered A. gravida Eversmann, 1852 to be a synonym of A. hattorfiana . However, the lectotype specimen belongs to Andrena (Melandrena) assimilis Radoszkowski, 1876 (= A. gallica Schmiedeknecht, 1883 , synonymized by Wood & Monfared 2022). So, this preoccupied name Andrena gravida Eversmann, 1852 is a junior synonym of A. (Melandrena) assimilis Radoszkowski, 1876 (syn. nov.).
Distribution. Europe, Morocco, Russia (to Eastern Siberia), Caucasus, Turkey, Central Asia, China. This species recently was recorded from Iran by Wood & Monfared (2022).
