vii. Dohrniphora castaneicoxa View in CoL group

Diagnosis. Hind femur with ventral line and distal group of peglike setae.

Included species. Dohrniphora brevisimplex , D. castaneicoxa Borgmeier , D. fuliginata , D. phyzela , D. rinconensis , and D. simplex Borgmeier & Prado.

The illustration of D. hostilis Borgmeier & Prado (1975) clearly places it in this group as well. It most closely resembles D. castaneicoxa , but until we are able to examine the holotype of D. hostilis (which has not been returned to the MZSP), we are unable to place it.

The species of this group are sometimes difficult to separate. Indeed, Borgmeier (1963) included specimens of D. fuliginata in his material of D. castaneicoxa . Discrimination of the species in the key is based on the pattern of the peglike setae, shape and color of the hind coxal lobe, and presence or absence of various clear concavities.
