Tosena melanoptera, Boulard, 2000 a: 120 , 122– 3, forest at base of Doi Inthanon, North Thailand.

Tosena melanoptera, Boulard, 2003 b: 260 –266, 277, forest at base of Doi Inthanon, North Thailand; small forested mountain range of Doi Mon Kia; engulfing forest of Doi Saket.

Tosena melanoptera, Boulard, 2005 f: 112 –116, 118– 120, great mountainous forests of Chiang Maï; forests at base of Doi Ithanon; forests of Doi Saket; cordillera of Doi Mon Kia; Jasorne (Jae Sawn) National Park.

Taxonomy: Boulard (2000 a) re-established T. melanoptera as a valid name suppressing T. melanopteryx Kirkaldy, 1909 .

Material Examined: AFSC – Chiang Mai; Wiang Papao, Chiang Rai. Distribution: India, Burma, Vietnam, Indochina, Nepal, the Himalayas (Metcalf, 1963 a; Duffels and van der Laan, 1985), and Thailand.
