Lectotype (Schrire in Turland & Jarvis in Taxon 46: 479. 1997): Herb. Linn. No. 529.3 ( LINN) .

Current name: Delonix elata (L.) Gamble ( Fabaceae : Caesalpinioideae ).

Note: Brenan (in Milne-Redhead & Polhill, Fl. Trop. E. Africa, Leguminosae 2: 23. 1967) indicated 529.3 and 529.4 (LINN) as syntypes. However, they are neither syntypes, nor apparently part of a single gathering so Art. 9.15 does not apply.
