Type specimens. See lectotype designation by Jendek (2000).
Type locality: “Thibet, Vrionatong” [Site unlocated].
Material examined. 1 3, 3 Ƥ ( MNHN): “Thibet, Vrionatong”.
Diagnosis. Agrilus thibetanus is most similar to A. cyanescens in body shape and form of the prosternal lobe (Fig. 26) and can by distinguished by the distinctly enlarged prosternal process (Fig. 26) in the male and by the shape of the median lobe of the aedeagus with the apex more acute and dentate sides ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 9 – 17 ).
Distribution. Known only from the type locality.
