Genus Neomamersa Lundblad, 1953

A mainly neotropical genus. However, the distribution reaches north up to the southern states of the US, with 16 described neotropical species. These are characteristic representatives of interstitial habitats, due to their typically dorso-ventrally flattened, slightly elongated, heavily armored idiosoma ( Figure 8 View Figure 8 ).
