Type material. Holotype ♂: CHINA: Sichuan Province: Ya’an City, Baoxing County, Jiajinshan National Forest Park , Xinzhaizigou (30°48.32′N, 102°43.64′E, 2457 m elev.), 30 Jul. 2016, leg. Chi Jin. GoogleMaps

Paratypes: 2♂ 3♀, with same data as holotype GoogleMaps .

Etymology. The species name is derived from the type locality; noun in apposition.

Diagnosis. This new species is similar to Otacilia submicrostoma Jin, Fu, Yin & Zhang, 2016 in having a similarly shaped FA, sperm duct and embolus, but the male can be recognized by: 1) the RTA wide, with a blunt tip (vs thin and pointed, compare Fig. 7B, D View FIGURE 7 with fig. 12B–C in Jin et al. 2016), and 2) the presence of a protruding excrescence on the distal part of the tegulum (vs absent, compare Fig. 7B View FIGURE 7 with fig. 12C in Jin et al. 2016). The female can be recognized by: 1) the long connecting tube (vs short, compare Fig. 7E View FIGURE 7 with fig. 12D in Jin et al. 2016), and 2) a pair of large COs (vs small, compare Fig. 7E View FIGURE 7 with fig. 12D in Jin et al. 2016).

Description. Male: total length 3.15–3.63 (n=3). Holotype ( Fig. 1E View FIGURE 1 ): total length 3.63, carapace 1.70 long, 1.42 wide (CW); abdomen 1.93 long, 1.36 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.09, ALE 0.11, PME 0.09, PLE 0.09; AME–AME 0.05, AME–ALE 0.01, ALE–ALE 0.24, PME–PME 0.13, PME–PLE 0.08, PLE–PLE 0.43, ALE–PLE 0.09. Eye area 0.56 wide (EAW), cephalic region 0.76 wide (CRW), EAW/CRW 0.74. CRW/CW 0.54. MOA 0.25 long, anterior width 0.22, posterior width 0.31. Clypeal height 0.17 ( CH), CH /AME 1.89. Chelicerae with three promarginal and four retromarginal teeth. Carapace black, with light ring around margin of carapace; broad longitudinal gray band along midline, slightly broader than eye area, with several shapes resembling flowing water droplets beside fovea. Abdomen oval, gray, with small, black and inverted triangular dorsal scutum anteriorly, four black chevron stripes posteriorly ( Fig. 1E View FIGURE 1 ).

Palp as in Figs 6 View FIGURE 6 , 7 View FIGURE 7 (A–D). FA high. RTA slightly curved, snake head-shaped in retrolateral view, with blunt tip ( Fig. 7B View FIGURE 7 ). Tegulum nearly as wide as cymbium, parallelogram shaped. Sperm duct obvious, tapering from retrolateral to prolateral side of tegulum, then distally. Embolus thin, straight, transverse. TA small, triangular ( Fig. 7C View FIGURE 7 ).

Female: total length 3.46–3.60 (n=3). One paratype ( Fig. 1F View FIGURE 1 ): total length 3.57, carapace 1.70 long, 1.52 wide (CW); abdomen 1.87 long, 2.87 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.09, ALE 0.10, PME 0.08, PLE 0.10; AME – AME 0.06, AME – ALE 0.02, ALE – ALE 0.26, PME – PME 0.13, PME – PLE 0.08, PLE – PLE 0.43, ALE – PLE 0.10. Eye area 0.56 wide (EAW), cephalic region 0.78 wide (CRW), EAW/CRW 0.72. CRW/CW 0.51. MOA 0.23 long, anterior width 0.21, posterior width 0.30. Clypeal height 0.12 ( CH), CH / AME 1.33 . Other characters as for male, except four brown chevron stripes posteriorly on abdomen, lack of DS, brown color and slightly smaller body size ( Fig. 1F View FIGURE 1 ) .

Epigyne as in Figs 6 View FIGURE 6 , 7 View FIGURE 7 (E–F). An obvious atrium with straight posterior edge and curved anterior edge located at middle part of epigynal plate ( Fig. 6E View FIGURE 6 ). Median septum thin, truncated anteriorly at atrium ( Fig. 6E View FIGURE 6 ). Copulatory openings large, located at posterior edge of atrium, separated by about diameter of spermathecae ( Fig. 7E View FIGURE 7 ). Copulatory ducts short and thick, extending downward and finally curved toward retrolateral side, connecting with long curved bursa. Glandular appendages slender, digit-shaped. Connecting tube thin and long, extending from anterior of copulatory ducts to posterior of spermathecae. Spermathecae large, globular, separated by less than one diameter of spermathecae. Fertilization ducts located prolaterally on anterior margin of spermathecae.
