Etymology. This specific name is derived from the Latin word “ furcatus ”, meaning the bifurcate RTA; adjective.
Diagnosis. Males of this new species can be recognized from all other species in the longituda –group by: 1) the RTA with a large V-shaped notch on the prolateral margin; 2) the embolus originated at nearly twelve o’clock, curving strongly towards the retrolateral side, with the tip of the embolus more proximal than the origin of the embolus; 3) a large auriform TA located at the position of conductor. Females can be recognized from others in the longituda - group by the copulatory openings located at the posterior margin of the epigynal plate.
Description. Male: total length 3.27–3.33 (n=2). Holotype ( Fig. 1A View FIGURE 1 ): total length 3.33, carapace 1.68 long, 1.39 wide (CW); abdomen 1.65 long, 1.21 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.04, ALE 0.09, PME 0.13, PLE 0.10; AME–AME 0.04, AME–ALE 0.02, ALE–ALE 0.23, PME–PME 0.13, PME–PLE 0.08, PLE–PLE 0.44, ALE–PLE 0.10. Eye area 0.54 wide (EAW), cephalic region 0.75 wide (CRW), EAW/CRW 0.72, CRW/CW 0.54, MOA 0.25 long, anterior width 0.21, posterior width 0.29. Clypeal height 0.17 ( CH), CH /AME 1.89. Chelicerae with three promarginal and seven retromarginal teeth. Carapace yellow, with broad longitudinal mottled band medially, slightly broader than eye area. Abdomen oval, gray, with small yellow dorsal scutum anteriorly, two triangular black spots beside dorsal scutum, and four black chevron stripes posteriorly ( Fig. 1A View FIGURE 1 ).
Palp as in Figs 2A–D View FIGURE 2 , 3A–D View FIGURE 3 . FA strongly raised, located at middle part of femur, well-developed ( Figs 2A–B View FIGURE 2 , 3A–B View FIGURE 3 ), with longitudinal depression on posterior side ( Fig. 2B View FIGURE 2 ). Tibia with sclerotized prolateral apophysis ( Figs 2A View FIGURE 2 , 3A View FIGURE 3 ). RTA large, with large V-shaped notch on prolateral margin in ventral, retrolateral and dorsal views ( Figs 2B–D View FIGURE 2 , 3B–D View FIGURE 3 ), and with blunt tip. Tegulum oval, round at distal margin hidden beneath TA. Origin of embolus at nearly twelve o’clock, tip of embolus more proximal than position of embolus base ( Figs 2C View FIGURE 2 , 3C View FIGURE 3 ); large auriform TA ( Fig. 2C View FIGURE 2 , 3C View FIGURE 3 ) located at position of conductor. Conductor absent.
Female (paratype, Fig. 1B View FIGURE 1 ): total length 3.57, carapace 1.68 long, 1.46 wide (CW); abdomen 1.89 long, 1.27 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.10, ALE 0.09, PME 0.08, PLE 0.09; AME – AME 0.05, AME – ALE 0.01, ALE – ALE 0.25, PME – PME 0.12, PME – PLE 0.09, PLE – PLE 0.46, ALE – PLE 0.13. Eye area 0.57 wide (EAW), cephalic region 0.81 wide (CRW), EAW/CRW 0. 70, CRW/CW 0.55. MOA 0.26 long, anterior width 0.23, posterior width 0.29. Clypeal height 0.14 ( CH), CH / AME 1.40 . Other characters as for male, except lack of DS, heavier color and slightly larger body size ( Fig. 1B View FIGURE 1 ) .
Epigyne as in Figs 2E–F View FIGURE 2 , 3E–F View FIGURE 3 . Median septum wider than half epigynal plate width, shorter than half MS width. Copulatory openings small, located posterior to epigynal plate ( Fig. 3E View FIGURE 3 ), widely separated by about three times spermatheca diameter. Copulatory ducts thick and straight, extending anteriorly slightly toward each other. Bursa long and oval, transparent. Connecting tube long, L-shaped, located posterior to copulatory duct. Glandular appendages digit-shaped, long. Spermathecae small and oval, close to each other. Fertilization ducts arising on anterior margin of spermathecae.
