Taxonomy. D. H. Murphy identified the specimens to Holochlora venosa Stål, 1873 but comparison with type specimens and original description suggests otherwise.

Life history. This species appears to be fairly common in the mangroves in Singapore.

Remarks. This species was wrongly identified as Holochlora obtusa Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1878 in Tan et al. (2013b); Tan (2013).
