COMMENTS
Unpublished specimens labelled “ Chiloscyphus hebridensis , from Mts. Koghis, Franc s.n., 1/11/1909, determinavit Stephani”, have been found at PC and G, and turned to be Heteroscyphus asellifomis . The features distinctive from H. hebridensis are: 1) leaves rounded with margins dorsally confluent vs widely triangular-ovate and dorsally free; 2) underleaf margins toothed vs deeply laciniate; and 3) leaf cells with large trigones vs minute trigones. The presence of this species in New Caledonia remains unconfirmed.
