Type Locality: China, Sichuan, "Yang-liu-pa".
Vernacular Names: De Winton's Shrew.
Synonyms: Chodsigoa beresowskii (Kastchenko 1907) ; Chodsigoa larvarum Thomas 1911 .
Distribution: SW and C China, Yunnan, Sichuan and Shaanxi; apparently disjunct population ( larvarum ) in Hebei.
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc) as Soriculus hypsibius .
Discussion: Does not include parva and lamula ; see Hoffmann (1985 b).
