Material examined. 4 females, from Sophora chathamica (Fabaceae) , Upper Nihotupu Dam Road, Waitakere Ranges, Auckland, New Zealand, 7 November 2004, coll. N.A. Martin; 10 females, from Sophora microphylla (Fabaceae) , Zion Hill track, Waitakere Ranges, Auckland, New Zealand, 2 October 2004, coll. N.A. Martin. Specimens deposited in NZAC.

Typical erineum on Sophora microphylla leaves was found at Paengaroa Scenic Reserve , Mataroa , Rangitiki , New Zealand, 31 January 2004, coll. N.A.Martin; Hinewai Reserve, Banks Peninsula, Mid-Canterbury, New Zealand, 31 January 2004, coll. N.A. Martin; Prices Valley, Banks Peninsula, Mid-Canterbury, New Zealand, 16 August 2005, coll. N.A. Martin (all specimens deposited in NZAC) .

Host. Sophora chathamica , S. fulvida and S. microphylla (Fabaceae) .

Relation to host. Leaf erineum in Sophora microphylla but not other Sophora species.

Distribution. Auckland (Waitakere Ranges), Otago Lakes (Lake Wakatipu).
