Protohermes owadai Liu, Hayashi & Yang, 2007 c. Aqua. Ins. 29: 313. Type locality: Vietnam (Truong Yen).

Materials examined. Holotype ɗ, VIETNAM: Son La Prov., Moc Chau, Truong Yen, 950 m, 20°50΄N, 104°38΄E, 1.V/ 30.IV.1995, A. Shinohara ( NSMT). Paratypes: 1ɗ, 1Ψ, VIETNAM: Son La Prov., Moc Chau, Truong Yen, 20°50΄N, 104°38΄E, 1.V.1995 ( NSMT, IEBR).

Distribution. Vietnam (Son La Prov.).

Remarks. This species is a member of the Protohermes fruhstorferi group ( Liu et al. 2007c) and its distribution is restricted to the Truong Yen area of northern Vietnam.
