Local distribution and occurrence: Khor Al-Sabiyah (Al-Shumaima), Kuwait Bay (Ras Ajuza), Masfat Al-Ahmadi, Ras Al-Zour, Al-Khiran, Failaka Island, Qaruh Island, Umm Al-Maradim Island; occasional (19%).

Habitat: Intertidal and subtidal zones; sand and rocks, shells, dead corals, Sargassum spp. , hydroid-bryozoan associations, sponges, tubes of blue coral-worm Spirobranchus sinuspersicus , and ropes.
