Distribution in Iran. " Persia " (no locality cited) (Fåhraeusin Schoenherr 1839 as B. irresectus ), Razavi Khorasan ( Akbari Asl et al. 2009), generally distributed ( Modarres Awal 1997), Iran (no locality cited) (Bagheri- Zenous 2011).
General distribution. Originating from Neotropical Region, now cosmopolitan pest of stored legume seeds.
Host records. Bean and other legumes ( Modarres Awal 1997; Akbari Asl et al. 2009).
Comments. Anisopteromalus calandrae (Howard) ( Hymenoptera : Pteromalidae ) was reported as the parasitoid of Acanthacelides obtectus by Akbari Asl et al. (2009).
