Type locality: Myanmar (Burma), Pegu Yomac, Thayetmyo Dist .

Measurements. „ Forewing: 38 mm; hindwing: 36 mm; antenna: 38 mm.” ( Fraser 1922)

Diagnostic characters. Based on Fraser’s (1922) description, „ labrum bright yellow, Thorax…. laterally a moderately broad, bright yellow, oblique stripe. Legs dark brown, almost black. „

Distribution. Only from the data, type specimens are known from Myanmar ( Fraser 1922).

Flight period of adult. October ( Fig. 22 ).

Remarks. Fraser (1922) described a new species from Myanmar as G. brunnea Fraser, 1922 , which later proved to be a homonym ( G. brunnea Esben-Petersen, 1913 ), revealed by Sziráki (1998), therefore this species was re-named after Fraser, as G. fraseri Sziráki, 1998 . Subsequently, G. brunnea Esben-Petersen, 1913 was designated as a junior synonym of Ascalohybris subjacens ( Walker, 1853) by Ábrahám (2008).

Unfortunately, the type specimen of G. fraseri , preserved in Kolkata (formerly Indian Museum, Calcutta), was not in a suitable condition for taxonomic examination. Therefore, a detailed examination and redescription of the type specimen is not possible. Based on Fraser’s (1922) description, this specimen shows great morphological similarity with the species G. cornuta . Each species has two important characteristics in common, the species has yellow labrum and there is only one mesothoracic yellow band seen in the lateral view. The taxonomic status of this species remains uncertain due to the bad condition of the type specimen.
