Host associations in Iran. Nephus includens associated with Nipaecoccus viridis (Asadeh & Mossadegh 1991; Novin 2000; Novin et al. 2000), Scymnus subvillosus on Citrus associated with Planococcus citri ( Maafi et al. 1998) , Nephus bipunctatus and Hyperaspis polita ( Lotfalizadeh 2010b) .
Distribution in Iran. Tehran ( OILB 1971), Khuzestan (Asadeh & Mossadegh 1991; Novin et al. 2000), Mazandaran ( Maafi et al. 1998) Fars ( Lotfalizadeh 2010b), East Azarbaijan ( Ghahari et al. 2010).
General distribution. Palaearctic, Afrotropical and Oriental regions.
Remarks. The reports of Homalotylus ephippium (Ruschka, 1923) from Iran ( Xu & Lotfalizadeh 2000; Lotfalizadeh & Ahmadi 2000) are misidentifications of H. quaylei and H. turkmenicus Myartseva, 1981 (see Lotfalizadeh 2010b).
