Genus Pseudoloxops Kirkaldy, 1905 View in CoL

Pseudoloxops Kirkaldy, 1905: 268 View in CoL .

Type species: Pseudoloxops coccineus Meyer-Dür, 1843 View in CoL .

Aretas Distant, 1909: 450 (Syn. Carvalho, 1952: 78) .

Zonodorellus Poppius, 1915: 68 (Syn. Carvalho, 1980: 658) .

Note. The genus Pseudoloxops View in CoL is generally recognized by its distinctive sanguineous patterns and markings on unicolorous or two-tone yellowish dorsum within the Orthotylini ( Yasunaga et al. 2022) . These sanguineous patterns typically extend continuously from the first antennal segment to the hemelytra along the outer margin of the dorsum, forming a specific pattern. These characteristics may serve as diagnostic characters of this genus. However, monophyly of Pseudoloxops View in CoL is questionable due to the diverse variation in male and female genital structures within the genus ( Yasunaga et al. 2022).
