Type Locality: Panamá, Chiriquí Prov., Volcán de Chiriquí, Boquete, 4000 ft (1219 m).

Vernacular Names: Yellow Deermouse.

Distribution: Intermediate elevations in W Panamá (Chiriquí region) and on Azuero Peninsula (see Handley, 1966 a).

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
