Remark. We have not yet opportunity to study the type specimen deposited in the Leyden Museum (Kleine, 1926), but the relationships of this species to C. pauper was proposed already in the original description and therefore we place the species in this species group. The locality ‘Nagasibara’ cited by Kleine (1926) refers to the highlands in the vicinity of the Lake Toba in Northern Sumatra.

Etymology. The specific epithet is a patronym in honour of Johannes Bastian Corporaal (1880–1952), the collector of the type specimen.
