Ampulicomorpha thauma Rasnitsyn & Matveev 1989: 657 . Holotype: ♀ ( Russia).
Ampulicomorpha hachijoensis Hirashima & Yamagishi : Olmi 1996: 99 (partim, only ♀).
Ampulicomorpha thauma is distinguished from A. viator , by having the two longitudinal keels on metapostnotum. Three distinct longitudinal keels are present in A. viator . The female was collected by a yellow pan trap at mountain side.
Distribution. Russia (European); South Korea ( Kim & Lee 2016); Japan (northern Honshu), new record.
Material examined: [ Japan] 1 ♀, Niigata Pref., Joetsu-shi, Nishiyokoyama , 28–29.VII.2006, collected by yellow pan trap, T. Mita leg. ( ELKU).
