Sclerogibba rossi Olmi 2005: 165 . Holotype: ♀ ( Myanmar).
Sclerogibba rossi is easily distinguished from Caenosclerogibba longiceps ( Figs 13, 14 View FIGURES 13–14 ) by the following characters: the dark coloration; head and metasoma dark brown; the anterior ocellus is present ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 11–12 ); the distinctly curved transverse suture separating the metanotum and scutellum from the metapectal- propodeal complex ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 11–12 ) ( Olmi 2005), whereas the body is entirely testaceous, the anterior ocellus is lacking, and the suture is straight in C. longiceps .
Material examined. [ Japan] 1 ♀, Okinawa-jima Isl. , Chatan-cho, Mihama, 19.VII.2017, T. Naka leg. ( ELKU) ; 1 ♀, same as above, but 2.VIII, from the nest of Oligotoma saundersii (westwood, 1837) (ELKU).
Distribution. Madagascar; India; Myanmar; Malaysia (Pahan) ( Olmi 2005; Azevedo et al. 2010); Japan, new record.
