Material examined. 1 specimen, NIWA 0 94894, TAN0705/49, 44.4862°S, 177.1413°E – 44.4841°S, 177.1416°E, 1235–1239 m, 6 April 2007; 1 specimen, NIWA 0 94899, TAN0705/49, 44.4862°S, 177.1413°E – 44.4841°S, 177.1416°E, 1235–1239 m, 6 April 2007; 2 specimens, NIWA 0 94918, TAN0705/99, 44.5607°S, 178.4762°W – 44.5592°S, 178.4830°W, 1076–1103 m, 10 April 2007; 9 specimens, NIWA 0 94919, TAN0705/99, 44.5607°S, 178.4762°W – 44.5592°S, 178.4830°W, 1076–1103 m, 10 April 2007.

Diagnosis. Female and subadult male. Carapace with many scattered spines and long setae. Antennule articles 1–2 not dilated. Pereopods without long setae. Telson with scattered spines and setae, slightly shorter than uropod peduncles.

Adult male. Unknown.

Remarks. Allodiastylis acanthanasillos is the only species in this genus known from New Zealand. The female is unique in the telson bearing genera in New Zealand in having no exopods. The additional records listed here are also from Chatham Rise, the place of collection of the holotype, and expand the depth range for this species from 1065 m to 1065–1239 m.
