Diastylopsis elongata Calman, 1911: 379 View in CoL –380, pl. XXXVII, Figs. 1–12 View FIGURE 1 View FIGURE 2 View FIGURE 3 View FIGURE 4 View FIGURE 5 View FIGURE 6 View FIGURE 7 View FIGURE 8 View FIGURE 9 View FIGURE 11 View FIGURE 12 .— Zimmer, 1913: 479.— Stebbing, 1913: 111 –112.— Zimmer, 1930: 652–653.— Jones, 1963: 59 –60, Figs. 225–236; 1969: 163.— Gerken, 2014: 19 –20.

Material examined. None.

Diagnosis. Female and subadult male. Carapace smooth, anterolateral corner serrate. Eyelobe without lenses. Pereonites 3–4 not fused, pereonite 4 narrow dorsally. Pereopods 3–4 with rudimentary exopods in female. Telson extending more than 0.5 times length of uropod peduncles, with 6 pairs lateral setae and 2 terminal setae.

Adult male. Pereonite 5 produced posteriorly moderately, ventrally directed. Pleonite 1 with large ventral spine. Pereopod 4 ischium produced as posteriorly directed lobe. Telson extending more than 0.5 times uropod peduncle length, with 8 pairs lateral setae and 2 terminal setae.

Remarks. Diastylopsis elongata and D. crassior are quite similar, as noted by Jones (1963). The most obvious difference is in the telson , with the telson no more than 0.5 times the uropod peduncle length in D. crassior and distinctly longer than 0.5 times the peduncle length in D. elongata .
