Type Locality: Brazil, Amazonas, Santo Antonio, Rio Eiru, upper Rio Jurua.
Vernacular Names: White-mantled Tamarin.
Synonyms: Saguinus acrensis (Carvalho 1957) ; Saguinus crandalli Hershkovitz 1966 ; Saguinus hololeucus (Pinto 1937) .
Distribution: Brazil, between Rios Jurua and Tarauca.
Conservation: CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Data Deficient as S. fuscicolis crandalli , otherwise not listed.
Discussion: S. nigricollis species group. Coimbra-Filho (1990) regarded melanoleucus as a species distinct from S. fuscicollis , and this was followed by Groves (2001 c).
