Accipiter hiogaster (Müller, 1841) View in CoL . Variable Goshawk
Uncommonly seen only in the lowlands (<100 m). Likely belonging to the malaitae subspecies. Identifica- tion: Accipiter seen in flight, and perched, with fine bar- ring underneath and darkish gray on top and gray wings. Only other goshawk is Pied Goshawk, and this species was differentiated by the very fine barring underneath and darkish upperside.
