Distribution and remarks: East Atlantic and Mediterrane- an. Observed along the coast of Gabon on board of industrial trawlers (Chartrain and De Bruyne, pers. obs.). Dogfishes presently referred to in current literature as Squalus megalops , appear to belong to a species complex. Specimens from the different regions still need to be compared carefully.
