Distribution and remarks: East Atlantic and Mediterrane- an (entire coast from Straits of Gibraltar to Israel, but absent from the Black Sea), to South Africa. Observed in trawls along the coast of Gabon ( Springer, 1990; Chartrain and De Bruyne, pers. obs.).
