Type. China: Sichuan Province, Wanxian (Kwanshien), Holotype male ( SMTD).
Diagnosis. Moderate-sized, oval; 4.0 mm in length; 2.0 mm in width; derm of thorax piceous, elytra, and legs fuscorufous, venter piceous; profemur unarmed, meso- and metafemur armed; disc of pronotum with laterobasal, centrobasal, and anterolateral macula of clavate, aeneous scales, remaining scales fuscous; elytra with confused fascia in basal half, macular fascia past midpoint, and apical fascia of clavate, aeneous scales; rostrum more than half as long as body; hind femur feebly clavate, base thin, tooth small; scutellum as broad as long, square, clothed with narrow, elongate, white scales. Genitalia: not dissected.
Distribution. China, Sichuan Province, Kwanshien.
Remarks. Appears superficially similar to Curculio rennelli Thompson , but differs in having aeneous rather than white scales.
