Abbreviated description: Cp sub-quadrate, with straight and sloping dorsal margin, ventral margin strongly sinuous, anterior margin produced towards the ventral side and caudal margin nearly straight, RV strongly overlapping LV, especially at antero- and posteroventral corners where Cp is widely gaping. In dorsal view, anterior edge pointed, posterior edge more blunt, greatest width situated behind the middle. Entire valve surface set with equal and rounded tubercules, as well as with few aesthetasc-like spines of unusual morphology.
Measurements: length of female = 528–551 µm; length of male = 531–556 µm.
Localities: Metangula , Mozambique at 7 m depth (21/3/1999) .
Mbamba Bay , Malawi, at 7–10 m depth (23.3.1999) .
