Remarks.

We have not examined any specimens of this historically confused species (see Praz et al. 2022), but the presence of this species in Iraq is highly plausible based on its known global distribution, the map records indicated by Gusenleitner and Schwarz (2002), and the presence of this species in neighbouring Turkey and Iran where it is abundant.

Distribution.

Somewhat unclear due to historical taxonomic confusion, but probably West and Central Palearctic ( Praz et al. 2022; Wood and Monfared 2022; Ascher and Pickering 2023).
