Remark. Bruchus bicoloripes: Two females were received from the MNHN. In the original descriptions, Pic does not indicate the number of specimens studied. The labels of the two specimens are identical and the locality data match what is given in the original description (Brésil) and Pic’s handwritten label " bicoloripes Pic ", but only one specimen is labeled "type". Here both specimens are considered as syntypes.

Bruchus bicoloripes var. indiversipes: Two females were received from the MNHN. In the original descriptions, Pic does not indicate the number of specimens studied. The labels of the two specimens are identical, the locality data are the same as quoted in the original description (Brésil), and both are in Pic’s handwritten label " var. indiversipes Pic "; but only one specimen has the label "type". Here both specimens were considered as syntypes and also the variety B. bicoloripes var. indiversipes (NEW SYNONYM) is synonymized with Bruchus bicoloripes .

Bruchus bicoloripes var. jatayensis: Three females were received from the MNHN. Here the three specimens are treated as syntypes and B. bicoloripes var. jatayensis (NEW SYNONYM) is synonymized with Bruchus bicoloripes .
