Capnia View in CoL s.l. cordata species group sensu Zhiltzova 2001

This group is restricted to the high mountains of Asia with fourteen known species ( Li & Yang 2009, Li et al. 2011, Murányi et al. 2014, Zhiltzova 2003). Five species are known from the Palaearctic: four from the Tien Shan and Pamir ranges ( Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan), and one from the northeastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (Gansu Province of China). The further nine species are known from the Oriental Realm:

It has a relatively wide distribution from the Western Himalayas to the Hindukush.
