The name refers to Annica Kreuter a collector of this and other species in Costa Rica.
Male. Length and greatest breadth of postpedicel subequal. LP a short tubercle with two bristles only and lying clear of the adjacent field of microsetae, and there is no ridge running from socket of S above this process ( Fig. 75 View FIGURES 75–76 ). Hypandrium as Fig. 76 View FIGURES 75–76 , with its right lobe deflected towards the vestigial left gonopod and its left lobe long and ending in a finely tapered point. Wing 1.2–1.3 mm long. Costal index 0.55–0.56. Vein 3 with a terminal vesicle which extends well beyond tip of costa. All tibiae are brown.
Material. Holotype male, Costa Rica, Puntarenas, Las Cruces Biological Station , 8.80 o N, 82.97 o W, 1200 m, Malaise trap, 14–19 September 2005, G. Kung & A. Kreuter ( CUMZ, 26-77) GoogleMaps . Paratypes 2 males as holotype (except one LACM) ; 3 males, same locality, etc., but 7–17 November 2005 ( CUMZ, LACM, 26-81) ; 1 male, Cart. Turrialba, CATIE, 600 m, 28 February 1980, H. & A. Howden ( DEBU, 14-61) .
