COMMENTS. The first record in the province. Earlier known from eastern Siberia (south part of Magadan Area, Amur Area, Khabarovsk Prov.) and mountains of NE China [ Eskov & Marusik 1994]. Recently [Marusik et al„ in press] found in Transbaikalia.

Chinese authors consider this species as ajunior synonym of P. rakanum Yaginuma & Saito, 1981 [cf. Li & Tao 1995, Song et al. 1999], but in our opinion, the widespread free- living continental population ( P. longjiangense ) and cave- dwelling one ( P. rakanum ) are not conspecific; cf. also drawings in Yaginuma & Saito [1981: figs 1-4] and Eskov & Marusik [1994; figs 45-48].
