Longicornus concavus sp. nov.

Figs. 1 – 10 View FIGURES 1–4 View FIGURES 5–10

Description. Body robust, yellowish brown ( Fig.1 View FIGURES 1–4 ). Vertex with paired irregular dark brown bands. Face with irregular dark brown lateral transverse streaks ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1–4 ). Forewing yellowish brown, with scattered hyaline areas ( Figs. 1, 2 View FIGURES 1–4 ). Legs dark, with brownish bands.

External features as in generic description.

Male genitalia. Male pygofer side broadly rounded in lateral aspect, with many long posteroventral setae ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 5–10 ). Valve strip-shaped, posterior margin concave, resulting in projection on both sides ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 5–10 ). Subgenital plate with wide base, narrowed posteriorly, with 8 setae along lateral margin, and mesal margin obviously deeply emarginate near apex ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 5–10 ). Aedeagal shaft short and robust, with pair of furcate processes arising from ventral margin near base, the short branches of processes with apex acute, the long branches of processes approximately subtriangular, thin, and its outer margin with fine teeth; gonopore apical ( Figs. 7 – 9 View FIGURES 5–10 ). Connective with arms nearly 1/3 length of stem ( Figs. 7 – 9 View FIGURES 5–10 ). Style relatively narrow, apical process acute, turned laterally ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 5–10 ).

Measurement. Length (including tegmen): ♂, 5.9 mm.

Material examined. Holotype: ♂, China: Tibet Autonomous Region, Linzhi City, Bomi County, Tongmai Town , 9 August 2020, coll. Yongjin Sui ( GUGC).

Remarks. The new species is similar to L. furcatus Fang & Xing, 2018 , but can be distinguished from the latter by the long branches of the aedeagal processes approximately subtriangular, thin, and its outer margin with fine teeth; valve strip-shaped and posterior margin concave.

Etymology. The species name is derived from the Latin word “ concavus ”, indicating the valve with posterior margin concave.
