Identification. Identified by delicate gametophytes and elimbate leaves with strongly obtuse apex. Can be con- fused with Fissidens serratus Müll. Hal. , however, the latter has a strongly serrated margin and gradually acute
apex of the phyllidia. Habitat: rupicolous and terricolous. Brazilian range. GO, SP. New record for Caatinga.

Identification. Characterized by entirely limbate oblong-lanceolate leaves with limbidium ending before the apex; pluripapillose cells mainly in the apical region. Habitat: rupicolous, terricolous and epigaeous.
Brazilian range. GO, MG, PR, RJ, RS, SC, SP. New record for Caatinga.
