Noeetomima trisurstyla View in CoL sp. nov.

( Figs. 31–40 View FIGURES 31–35 View FIGURES 36–40 )

Diagnosis. Palpus yellow except blackish brown on ventral margin and at tip. Mesoscutum: presutural dorsocentral seta before horizontal level of presutural acrostichal setulae. Scutellum shiny, blackish brown on posterior margin. Fore femur with 4 strong posterior ventral setae and hind femur with 3 strong anterior ventral setae. Wing with 8 white radiating stripes along margin between tips of R 2+3 and CuA 1, white irregular stripes of different length in

brown central area. Surstylus consisting of 1 triangular anterior process with setae in lateral view and 2 posterior spiny processes (not visible in lateral view, visible in posterior view).

Description. MALE. Body length 2.4 mm, wing length 3.0 mm. FEMALE. Unknown.

Head ( Fig. 31 View FIGURES 31–35 ) mostly pale yellow. Face pale yellow, lateral and ventral margin brown, brown groove near ventral margin and brown median spot on ventral margin; parafacial pale yellow, with narrow brown median stripe on dorsal 1/2 and an elliptical brown ventroapical spot. Frons wider than long slightly, trapeziform (anterior margin shorter than posterior margin), with pair of narrow brownish median stripes, extending to vertex; ocellar triangle blackish gray, ocellar seta developed, longer than anterior fronto-orbital seta, anterior fronto-orbital seta longer than half length of posterior fronto-orbital seta; fronto-orbital seta each with 1 blackish brown basal spot fused to a narrow stripe. Gena about 1/6 height of eye. Occiput with grayish pruinosity. Antenna pale yellow, flagellomere 1 brown on margin, near subuliform, about 1.7 times longer than high; arista blackish brown, pubescent, with short setulae. Brown stripe spot present between eye and antenna. Proboscis pale yellow, with yellowish and blackish setulae; palpus yellow except blackish brown on ventral margin and at tip, with black setulae.

Thorax ( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 31–35 ) brown, with grayish yellow pruinosity. Mesoscutum with 1 pale brown median longitudinal stripe extending from anterior margin to scutellum and pair of narrow brown median stripes extending from anterior margin to presutural acrostichal setulae, posterior margin of postpronotum surrounded by brown line, 3–4 brown round spots scattered between dorsocentral and supraalar setal rows; 1+3 dorsocentral setae, anteriormost post-sutural dorsocentral seta near transverse scutal suture, presutural dorsocentral seta before horizontal level of presutural acrostichal setulae; 1+2 acrostichal setulae (not including prescutellar seta) and in 2 rows, 1st post-sutural acrostichal setulae on transverse scutal suture; prescutellar seta shorter than anteriormost postsutural dorsocentral seta; dorsocentral seta, acrostichal setulae and prescutellar seta each without brown basal spots. Anepisternum with 2 anepisternal setae (posterior anepisternal seta strong) and 3–4 short setulae, katepisternum with 2 katepisternal setae. Scutellum shiny, blackish brown on posterior margin. Legs pale yellow, femur yellow except pale yellow at tip, apical tarsomeres pale brown; femur with brown subapical spot on inner side corresponding to subbasal ring on tibia. Fore femur with 4 strong posterior ventral setae and 6 posterior dorsal setae; fore tibia with 1 long dorsal preapical seta and 2 short apical ventral setae. Mid femur with 5 anterior setae and 1 apical posterior seta; mid tibia with 1 strong dorsal preapical seta and 1 strong apical ventral seta. Hind femur with 3 strong anterior ventral setae and 1 preapical anterior dorsal seta; hind tibia with 1 dorsal preapical seta and 1 short apical ventral seta. Wing ( Fig. 32 View FIGURES 31–35 ) almost brown, with 8 white radiating stripes along margin between tips of R 2+3 and CuA 1; white irregular stripes of different length in brown central area; posterior margin undulating; costa with 2nd (between R 1 and R 2+3), 3rd (between R 2+3 and R 4+5) and 4th (between R 4+5 and M 1) sections in proportion of 3.2: 1.5: 1; r-m beyond middle of discal cell; ultimate and penultimate sections of M 1 in proportion of 3.8: 1; ultimate section of CuA 1 about 1/4 of penultimate. Halter brown, stem yellow.

Abdomen ( Fig. 35 View FIGURES 31–35 ) pale brown, but syntergosternite and epandrium brownish yellow; tergites 2–6 with 4 pairs of pale yellow round spots and 4–5 pairs of setae on posterior margin, and 1 pale yellow median stripe forms 1 discrete pale yellow longitudinal stripe. Male genitalia ( Figs. 36–40 View FIGURES 36–40 ): syntergosternite slender, circular with pair of triangular ventral processes in anterior view, mostly confluent with epandrium in lateral view; epandrium broad, surstylus consisting of 1 triangular anterior process with setae in lateral view and 2 posterior spiny processes (not visible in lateral view, visible in posterior view), 2 spiny processes were located at the apical and subapical of the posterior margin of epandrium respectively; hypandrium V-shaped. Gonopod nearly as long as phallus in lateral view, with 2 long setulae basally and 3 long setulae apically, acute at tip and curved in lateral view; phallus consisting of 1 V-shaped inner sclerite and pair of triangular dorsal sclerite, membranous on ventral side, 1 small curved sclerite at tip of membranous; phallus without apical concavity. Phallapodeme broad in ventral view, shorter than phallus.

Type material. Holotype ( CAUC): 1 ♂, CHINA, Guangxi Province: Nanning Damingshan , 2011. V. 23, Tingting Zhang.

Distribution. China (Guangxi)

Remarks. The new species is very similar to Noeetomima tengchongica Shi, Gaimari & Yang from Yunnan Province, but N. trisurstyla can be separated from the latter by the frons having no brown V-shaped subbasal spot; the arista being blackish brown; the mesoscutum having 1 pale brown median longitudinal stripe extending from anterior margin to scutellum; the dorsocentral seta, the acrostichal setulae and the prescutellar seta each having no brown basal spots; the hind femur having 3 anterior ventral setae; the hypandrium V-shaped.

Etymology. Latin, trisurstyla , which refer to the surstylum of the new species having a triangular anterior process with setae in lateral view and 2 posterior spiny processes.
