DISTRIBUTION: Peru, Colombia, N and E Brazil, Venezuela, French Guiana, Guyana, and Surinam.

SYNONYMS: cyclops .

COMMENTS: Subgenus Peronymus . Formerly included in genus Peronymus ; see Cabrera (1958:52).
