( Figs. 2D View FIGURES 2 , 6F View FIGURES 6 , 13 View FIGURES 13 A–G, 20B)
Diagnosis. Recognized by the pale brown to yellow head, the dorsally pale brown and ventrally dark brown antennal segment II, the ventrally brown pronotum, the apically white scutellum, and the male genitalia.
Type material. Holotype (³): InDIa: Karnataka, Chikkaballapura, Nandi Hills , 18.vii.2015, ex: Grewia sp. bark, Yeshwanth, H.M. leg. Paratypes (3³), same data as for holotype ( UASB) .
Description. Coloration: Head pale yellow with ocelli reddish brown. Antennal segment II dorsally with basal ¾ pale brown, apical ¼ brown, and evenly brown ventrally. Pronotum ventrally dark brown, dorsally yellowish brown. Mesoscutum and scutellum brown, scutellum with white patches laterally and at apex. Corium pale brown or smoky. Legs usually brown with apical 1/3 of each femur pale brown; all tibiae and tarsi pale brown. Surface structure and vestiture: Head shiny, punctate, dorsum shiny with golden-yellow, flattened, erect setae; distinctly punctate on hemelytra; antennae with short, stout, erect setae. Body oval, length 1.8 times longer than wide. Head in frontal view flat, 1.2 times wider than long, with clypeal margin sinuate, frons with a transverse carina above the clypeus, just below the ventral margins of eyes. Eyes relatively large, oval, occupying 3/4 th of the head height in lateral view. Ocelli close to or nearly touching inner margins of eyes. Antenna arising on ventral margin of head; segment I short, rounded; segment II tubular, longest, longer than head width; segment III and IV subequal in length. Labium long, extending to apex of hind coxae. Pronotum 2.7 times wider than long; lateral margins flattened, rounded; posterior margin slightly concave. Mesoscutum broad, with raised lateral margins. Scutellum slightly raised at middle, length subequal to width. Metathoracic scent gland evaporatory area large with a prominent opening ( Fig. 13B View FIGURES 13 ). Hemelytra transparent, with lateral margins weakly rounded. Cuneus triangular with a prominent cuneal fracture. Membrane with a single cell. Hind femur greatly enlarged, cylindrical; tibia slender, elongate; tarsi two segmented. Abdomen rounded, extending to apex of membrane. Male genitalia: as in Figs. 13 View FIGURES 13 C–G. Detailed measurements: See Table 1 View TABLE 1 . Female unknown.
Distribution. India (Karnataka).
Biology. Collected on Grewia sp. ( Malvaceae ) bark.
Etymology. We are pleased to name this species after our colleague Andrzej Wolski (University of Opole, Opole, Poland), Polish specialist of Cylapinae taxonomy.
Discussion. This new species is separated from other species of Indian Isometopus by the characters mentioned in the diagnosis and the key, mainly the total length, dorsal coloration, and male genital structures.
