Popov 1985: 73 (as nomen novum). Type species: Omania splendens Popov, 1981 .

Remarks. Popov (1981: 114) established the genus Omania for its only species O. splendens Popov, 1981 . Because of the junior homonymy [of Omania Horvarth, 1915 (Hemiptera) ] Popov (1985: 73) proposed a new generic name for this taxon, Dhofaria Popov, 1985 . Koçak & Kemal (2008: 3) unaware of this proposed a new name for Omania Popov which was interestingly the same name, Dhofaria Koçak & Kemal, 2008 , that was synonymized by Koçak & Kemal (2009: 4).
