Material examined. SYRIA: Syrien, nr. 1082, 1♂ (Lectotype) (det. Br. v.W. Pamphagus zebratus ) ( NMW) ; Syria, Vsots [?], 855 [1855], 1♀ (Paralectotype) (det. Br. v.W. as Pamphagus zebratus ) ( NMW) ; EGYPT: Mokaltau Wüsle bei Kairo, 4.2.1914, 1♀ (leg. Werner) (det. Ebner as Pamphagus zebratus ) ( NMW) ; ISRAEL: 15 km S. of Beer Sheba , sand dunes, 3.4.1968, 1♂ (leg. Pener & Amitai), 12 km S. of Beer Sheba , 30.3.1967, 1♀ (Hevy & Amitai) (NMNHI).

Remarks. Descamps & Mounassif (1972: 264) designated the lectotype which has no a lectotype label (NMW).
