Original description. Playfair 1917, P. 657, Plate 38, Fig. 16.
Description. Shell large, ovoid, circular in transverse section; lateral sides gradually converging towards an aperture; aperture circular and rather broad, there is a well developed thickening around an aperture. Measurements. Shell length 55 µm, shell width 40 µm, aperture diameter 15 µm. Habitat. Freshwater ponds, bogs.
Geographic distribution. Australia, Chile.
