Original description. Tarnogradsky 1959, P. 50, Table 8, Figs 64 a–e.
Description. Shell is pyriform with a shorter neck comparing with typical form; covered by sand grains; completely circular at transverse section; the aperture is circular.
Measurements. Shell length 27–30 µm, shell width 18–20 µm, aperture diameter 10.5–13.0 µm.
Habitat. Sphagnum lakes.
Geographic distribution. Russia (Caucasus).
